Free Easy Knit Beanie Hat Pattern

Cast on 74 stitches

Rows 1-6: Work k1, p1 to create your ribbing.

Row 7: knit across.

Row 8: purl across.

Continue rows 7 and 8 until your hat is 7 inches long (18cm) from cast on edge, ending with a purl row.

Next row: k2tog across. 37 stitches remain.

Next row: Purl across.

Next row: k2tog across, ending with a k1. 19 stitches remain.

Next row: Purl across.

Cut your yarn leaving enough yarn to sew seam.

Thread your yarn needle and thread the needle through each stitch, removing your hat from your knitting needle. Pull tightly and whip stitch the seam and tuck your ends.

Add a Pom Pom or flower to the hat if so desired, and your beanie hat is complete.
